Stuff the Bus 2021

As life returns to normal for many, millions of American families continue to experience daily challenges. The start of the school year can be a stressful time in a normal year, and for one in five children living in poverty, parents often must choose between buying school supplies or putting food on the table.

The ongoing pandemic has placed a tremendous burden on families experiencing lost wages and looming evictions, and with 63% of American families living paycheck to paycheck, the back-to-school season only increases that burden.

This year, more than most, making sure students feel prepared to succeed is vital. That’s why The Salvation Army is once again running the Stuff the Bus school supply drive. The school supplies you and The Salvation Army provide will help ensure kids in need start the academic year off right.

We’re asking you to donate supplies at thousands of Walmart stores around the country August 6-8. Simply drop new school items in one of the bins at a participating Walmart store, or search for your local Salvation Army’s Registry for Good to donate online. We will make sure those supplies get to a kid in need in your community.

Walmart and The Salvation Army have partnered for more than 30 years to meet local community needs, and with your support we’ll help thousands of kids build a brighter for future for themselves and their families.
