There are many different opportunities for Peoria's youth community members to benefit from our mission. Read below about what is available and contact us for any further information:

The youth members of Peoria's communities are able to grow, learn and connect through local Salvation Army programs aimed at providing opportunities for their development.

There are many services that can provide your kids with a new experience such as
Peoria Citadel Youth Center, Child Care Center, and more!

Peoria Citadel Youth Center

The Peoria Citadel Youth Center provides a safe, encouraging environment for kids to grow, learn, and have fun together.

Youth Center Drop In-Hours:

Monday - Friday
3:00pm - 5:00pm
(When District 150 is in session)

Drop-In Hours are open to children enrolled in 1st - 8th grade and includes...

Open gym
Game room
Computer lab
Homework support
Arts room

Wednesday Youth Nights:

During the School Year

Open to kids entering grades 1 - 8

Camp Starts June 5th
Includes troop meetings by age groups, supper club, and music rehearsals as well as:

Open Gym
Bible Class
Arts and Crafts
Weekly Field Trips
Families interested in camp must register in person at The Salvation Army
A deposit of $25 is required to secure a spot in camp.
Registration opens March 13, 2023.

All participating youth members must complete a registration/permission form and have it signed by their parent or guardian.

Child Care Center

Our qualified and competent teaching staff can provide consistency in your child or grandchild's life.

The Peoria Child Care Center:

Open to all youth from Ages 6 weeks to 5 years old

Monday - Friday from 6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Enroll your child today and our programming will help to develop their self-expression, foster positive self-esteem and connect them through communication and caring relationships with staff and other children.
